The Brits got the pom-pom memo, and how! Ashish pulled out all the stops at London Fashion Week with these texture crazy duds. Is it just us or do the models look like they've been attacked by Popples?
Knitted hats with crazy pom-poms seem to be the new trend for Fall 2009. They showed up again at Diane Von Furstenberg's show on Sunday. Looks like we'll have to get to work making pom-pom accessories!
It's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC and Purl Harbor Knits is showing-- just kidding! But we did spy some unusual knits at the Duckie Brown show on Friday. Wow. As Tim Gunn would say, "That's a lot of look."
Airmen, Sailors, and G.I. Joes all had one thing in common—scarves. Daring, bold, hand-knitted scarves flapping in the breeze. Our boys wore scarves in Normandy and Iwo Jima, scarves made with love and valor. In 1945, they brought their scarves home with them, keepsakes for their best girls and a promise for a better tomorrow. Purl Harbor Knits carries on in this grand tradition by offering the finest hand made scarves. Scarves for summer or winter. Scarves for paratroopers or artillery. You don't need to win a Purple heart to wear Purl Harbor Knits, but you'll look so good it'll feel like you had. These truly are the knits that will live in infamy.
Purl Harbor Knits is the collaborative effort of mother-daughter team Mary Ann and Denise. Obvious WW2 buffs, both love crafting and have an unhealthy obsession with the movie "Patton".
